BRIDGE
liz soyka
The bridge is an essential part of transportation as it allows all modes of transport to cross over areas that- without a bridge- would be much more difficult to cross. This folly imitates Charleston’s Cooper River Bridge in that when visitors pass underneath it, they will be enthralled by both its structure and its form. Constructed under the style of Da Vinci’s self-supporting bridge, this folly is structurally sound without the need for nails or glue to keep the 2x4’s in their place. Two picnic tables under the bridge allow for visitors to sit and relax while taking in the views all around them.
