RAMP
hallie simpson
The purpose of this installation is to be all inclusive. Adhering to ADA regulations, this ramp connects to a table to allow a gathering space for all. The stairs are included to represent the difference in accessibility for someone on wheels. Whether it be a stroller, wheelchair, skates, etc. a change in elevation requires a ramp. While it takes only 4 feet of stairs to go 30 inches up, someone on wheels must go a distance of 30 feet just to reach that same height. Built out of 2x4 and 2x6 pressure treated lumber, this structure is weather resistant and accommodates all while creating a large amount of surface area for artists to tag and graffiti.
